Territories

Territories are lists of writing topics that we come back to again and again. These are things that we have multiple stories about. We could talk about them every day for a month and still have things to say. Mine your thinking over one of your own writing territories. What are they? Can you make a list and keep coming back to them over and over?

For inspiration, here are my writing territories. I have ENDLESS stories to tell about these topics:

School - I have been in school since I was 5. I have been in school for 30 years of my life. I have never not been in or worked at a school since I was 5.

My Dad - He is so funny and weird. He travels around everywhere. We used to travel together until I met someone who likes to travel with me. Now my dad goes everywhere alone. But he never stops moving. It's really interesting.

Past Boyfriends - Omg. Where to start. So many things to say. So many stories to tell. Good and Bad and Ugly and Beautiful. If you've been dating for 18 years of your life, you'd have stories to tell, too.

My Trips - I have been so many different places in my life, here and there. I have been traveling since I was 2. I haven't stopped yet.

My Friends - I have met such interesting people in my life. I love them all so much. They have brought me endless joy and innumerable stories (that's too many stories to count them.)
