Getting Started with Canvas Parent App

 

The free Canvas Parent App is available for iOS and Android devices.

The free Canvas parent app, available on iTunes and Google Play, is a simplified version of the student view. With the Canvas Parent app, you can view a student’s upcoming assignments. With the app, you will need to connect with Austin ISD and then log in with your AISD Parent Portal: Parent Self-Serve account. 

 

How do I decide which access to use?

typically accessed from a desktop or laptop internet browser (ie. Google chrome), but can also be used from a mobile device using the browser	access on mobile devices such as phones and tablets

Once you have an Austin ISD Parent Cloud account, you can log into the Canvas app and connect to your AISD student.

	1. Download the app and open.
	2. Type in Austin Independent School District. It will begin to self populate when you start typing.
	3. Once the district is entered, you will be taken to AISD login. Enter your Parent Poral username and password. This will link you and your student in the Canvas Parent App.
	4. You are ready to view your student's work in Canvas/BLEND for courses that have been published.
